After creation of objects it is necessary to allocate them in proper order. Adobe Illustrator program allocates means which give to the user all possibilities on relocation and alignment of objects with the maximum accuracy. Gages, alignments, groupings, "fixations" in certain position and temporal removal of objects from the screen here concern.
Palette Transform (Transformation) serves for interactive relocation and transformation of objects.
Relocation and copying of objects
Objects can be moved in several ways: to "drag" by means of the mouse, to move by means of cursor control keys, and also by means of palettes Transform (Transformation) and dialog boxes Move (Relocation) and Transform Each (to Transform everyone).
By means of "drag and drop" it is possible to transfer images between open documents of programs of adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
The general setting and methods of relocation of objects
In section General (Cores) of dialog box Preferences (Setting) which is caused by command Preferences (Setting) of menu Edit (Editing), are available parameters, defining possibilities of relocation of objects (fig. 6.1).
In the field Constrain Angle (the Angle of rotation of axes) is entered value of a corner in degrees which defines slope angle of axes Х and Y. The Detail information look in section "Rotation of axes Х and Y" the given chapter.

Setting of flag Transform Pattern Tiles (to Transform images) provides transformation and decorative filling according to transformation of the object, for example, scaling, rotation, a warp and etc. More detailed data about transformation look in chapter 9.
In the field Cursor Key (Cursor movement) is defined distance on which the selected object is moved at the single-valued pushing any cursor control key. An admissible range of relocation from 0 to 457,199 mm. By default the distance in 1 point (0,353 mm) is accepted.
For relocation of object by means of cursor command keys it is necessary to select it (it concerns also several objects), and then to push a key of an appropriate direction necessary number of times.
Activation of command Snap to Point (to Align on points) menu View (Review) provides "adhesion" of moved object to reference points if this object gets to a zone of two пикселов from these points. By default given command is activated.
At "drag and drop" of object by means of the mouse it is possible to provide a relocation direction strictly across or on a vertical (and also directions, to the multiple 45 degrees) if to retain pushed a key [Shift].
If on a new place it is necessary to receive a copy of moved object it is necessary to retain pushed a key [Alt] (fig. 6.2).

Nota Bene. It is necessary to mean. That the given function is accessible at drag and drop of objects between programs of adobe Illustrator and adobe Photoshop. |
Objects can be moved by means of tool Free Transform (the Free transformation) (
). For this purpose, it is enough to capture any point of object, except markers of a "dimensional" rectangle.

To move object on precisely known distance, it is necessary to use command Move (Relocation) of menu Object/Transform (Object/transformation) which opens dialog box Move (Relocation) (fig. 6.3).

| Rice 6.3. Dialog box Move |
If the object intended for relocation, is already selected, dialog box Move (Relocation) can be caused double click on tool Selection (Selection) (
).
In a dialog box results of the previous relocation or measurement are displayed.
Group Position (Position) is intended for setting of parameters of relocation. In fields Horizontal (Across) and Vertical (On a vertical) values of relocation of object across and verticals in a range from-5779,558 to 5779,558 mm are entered: the positive values provide object relocation to the right and upwards, and negative — to the left and downwards.
Besides it it is possible to set distance in a range from-4310,591 to 4310,591 mm and a relocation corner in degrees. Fields Distance (Distance) and Angle (Corner) are for this purpose used. Value of a corner is digitized from a horizontal axis counter-clockwise with the positive sign, and clockwise — with negative.
At introduction of the positive value in a range from 180 to 360 degrees the program automatically enumerates it in appropriate negative value (for example 270 ° corresponds-90 °).
Relocation of several objects
Often enough it is required to move not one object, and set of objects. In it there is no problem (some objects are moved by the same methods, as unique), but in Adobe Illustrator program there is one curious nuance.
Command Transform Each (to Transform everyone) menu Object/Transform (Object/transformation) displays dialog box Transform Each (to Transform everyone) (fig. 6.4), which allows to transform "complexly" objects including to move, setting values in group Move (Relocation).

The snap of this dialog box is flag Random (Accidentally), which setting allows to move objects with "casual dispersion" (for example, rectangles-bricks ", objects - of"asterisk"and so forth). The range of"dispersion"does not exceed the installed value of relocation.
Relocation of circuits with copying
Creation of concentric circles by means of compasses — the task not difficult, but demanding good toolkit and accuracy. Creation of concentric circuits of the arbitrary form lies behind an edge of possibilities of the normal person.
In Adobe Illustrator program there is the special command, allowing to solve these tasks with ease, is Offset Path (to Create a parallel circuit) menu Object/Path (Object/circuit) which displays a dialog box (fig. 6.5).

In the field Offset (Offset) is entered value of shift of a copy of a circuit: the positive value shifts a circuit in outer side from an initial circuit, and negative — in internal.
Command application to an open circuit allows to create the closed circuit reminding result of operation by a paintbrush.
The information on fields Joins (Joints) and Miter Limit (Cutting) look in chapter 8.
