Productivity of brainwork heavily gives in to control, but to raise productivity of the program which embodies result of brainwork, in certain limits quite probably. Productivity of operation of the program includes such processes, as time of discovery and file saving, time Necessary for copying of the screen, handling документа'и its transmissions on exterior devices.

It follows from this that productivity of operation influence all components of the computer, however a main role the clock rate of the processor and random access memory volume as it is the continuous resource which the program uses plays. The volume of disk space and speed of an exchange with a disk, and then complexity actually images further follow.

The further acceleration of operation can be connected to automation of routine operations, the various difficult effects made of sequence of many commands. In the program palette Actions (Operations) with which help it is possible to implement this possibility is provided.

Palette Actions

Palette Actions (Operations) is used for record, performance and editing of sequence of actions on image processing (such sequence of actions receiving a title and launched by one command, it is accepted to name the macro command).

To display palette Actions (Operations) on the screen, it is necessary to execute command Show Actions (to Show operations) menu Window (Window).

Palette Actions (Operations) (fig. П1.1) contains a dial-up of commands in the form of lines, which are uncovered if to click on a triangular right arrow. Each command opens the command parameter list if those are available,

In the left column fields which fields for switching-on and switch-off of an output of dialog boxes of appropriate commands serve for switching-on or shut-down of separate commands, and near to them are allocated.

In the lower part of a palette buttons are allocated:

	Stop Playing/Recording (a performance/record Stop)
	Begin recording (Record)
	Play current selection (Playback)
	Create new set (the New dial-up)
	Create new action (New operation)
	Delete Selection (Basket)

However the palette can have and other type — in a mode of command buttons (fig. П1.2). To present a palette in such type, it is necessary to open the menu of a palette and to execute command Button Mode (to Present in the form of buttons).

For reset to a list mode of a palette it is necessary to execute the same command repeatedly.

Change of the order of commands in the macro command

Change of the order of commands in the palette list involves change and sequence of performance of commands. Besides, commands of one macro command can be moved to others.

To change the order of commands, it is necessary to "capture" a line of a command in the palette list and to move it to new position. The double line displays position of a command during relocation.

Change of parameters of macro commands

At the creation the macro command receives a name and color by which it will be displayed, in a mode of command buttons, and a key pattern for its fast call. In need of any moment these parameters can be changed by means of command Action Options (operation Parameters) which displays a dialog box identical to window New Action (New operation) which description is resulted in following section.

Creation and record of macro commands

Macro command creation (action) consists that in runtime of this or that sequence of commands Adobe Illustrator program запиеывает i order of their performance and parameters which were used by each specific command.

Thus it is possible to write down any sequence of commands and further to use, reducing time and, the main thing, efforts to performance of routine operations, and also creating "man-made" effects.

Development of similar macro commands opens ample opportunities to users for application of the creative power. To destination the result is close to Plug-in units, but forms easier and does not demand special knowledge.

However there are also restrictions: some commands and functions can turn on in macro commands only by means of record (recording). For switching-on in operation of commands which cannot be written down during record, it is necessary to use command Insert Menu Item (to Interpose menu item). Look the following section of given chapter.

Nota Bene. It is necessary to pay attention to one very essential restriction; the Success of performance of the written down macro command with other document and during other time, substantially depends on parameters of this document (a color model, the selected object, the active layer and etc.), and also from current setting of the program (for example, fill colors and обводки and some other).

As to write down sequence of commands (fig. П1.3), they are necessary for fulfilling first of all, and in the course of operation erratic actions strongly it is recommended to make experiments with copies (especially it Are possible concerns important documents).

Nota Bene. It is necessary to mean also that at usages as elements of the macro command of commands Save As (to Save as) or Save a Copy (to Save a copy) in dialog boxes of these commands it is not necessary to enter specific names of files.

So, to create the macro command a record method (recording), it is necessary to open edited - the document, to display palette Actions (Operations), to select from it a dial-up of macro commands and to fulfill one of following actions.

	To click button Create new action (New operation) () in the lower part of a palette.
	To execute command New Action (New operation) the palette menu.

In both cases on the screen dialog box New Action (New operation) (fig. П1.4) will be deduced, in which it is possible to appropriate a name to the macro command (field Name (the Name)), to define dial-up of macro commands (list Set (Dial-up)) and key pattern for its start (field function Key ' (Function key)), and also to select one of seven colors for display of a line of the macro command from a palette (list Color (Colour)).

Then it is necessary to push button Begin Record (Record) then the point on this button becomes red color.

Now it is possible to begin performance of commands which are necessary for saving in the macro command. If the command has a dialog box after setting of necessary values it is necessary to push the button APPRX. If it is supposed to do changes of adjustments in the course of macro command performance it is possible to leave values by default, but also in this case it is necessary to push mandatory the button APPRX. At an output from a dialog box on button click Cancel to (Cancel) the given command does not register in the macro command.

The record stop happens at pushing button Stop Playing/Recording (a performance/record Stop) in the lower part of palette Actions (Operation) (the first at the left).

Insertion of circuits

In Adobe Illustrator program switching-on possibility in a macroprogram of the vectorial circuits created earlier is provided. For an insertion of vectorial circuits it is necessary to select them, and then to execute command Insert Selected Path. (To interpose a circuit) the palette menu.

At Macro command performance vectorial circuits are recreated on the parameters saved in the macro command (fig. П1.5).

Insertion of menu items

Many commands which cannot be written down during execution (for example, parameters of drawing tools, commands of review, a command of setting by default and some other), it is possible to include in the list of the macro command by means of command Insert Menu Item (to Interpose menu item) the palette menu.

Difference of such switching-on from record (recording) consists that in this case a command as that is not fulfilled, and consequently, no parameters of a command are fixed and, needless to say, no action on the current document appears. It in the pure state programming operation.

In macro command runtime (playing) for such command the appropriate dialog box in which it is necessary for user to define own parameters opens or to accept default arguments and to push the button APPRX.

Method of an insertion of menu items it is possible to create the macro command quickly enough if the user not bad is guided in possibilities of commands.

To interpose menu item into the macro command, it is necessary to fulfill following actions:

	To define an insertion place in the existing macro command: to select a macro command name in the palette list, to open and select a command after which the new command will be interposed;
	To execute command Insert Menu Item (to Interpose menu item) the menu of a palette which opens the dialog box with the same name (fig. П 1.6).

To define the necessary command, it is possible to open the appropriate menu and to select a required command which is automatically transferred to a dialog box. If the user well remembers titles of commands, it can enter some first letters of a command and push button Find to (Find). The program automatically deduces the first suitable command. If other command it is necessary to define more precisely the Command meant or to find it manually.

Nota Bene. It is necessary to mean that commands I attract Edit (Editing), working with clipboard Clipboard Cut to (Cut), Copy to (Copy), Paste to (Interpose), and also commands Undo to (Cancel) and Clear to (Clear) it is necessary to type on letters.

After button click ОК in the list of macro commands there is a new command (fig. П1.7).

Insertion of stops

In macro command runtime often enough there is a necessity to interrupt action for some time to carry out action which cannot be written down, for example, to select a fragment of the image or to make a dash one of drawing tools.

Continuation of operation of the macro command is carried out by button click Iau Current Selection (Playback) in the lower part of a palette (the third at the left).

Not to forget about assignment of a pause (stop), it is recommended to save the short message.

For a stop insertion in the macro command list it is necessary to fulfill following actions:

	To define местоВставки stops in the existing macro command: to select a macro command name in the palette list, to open and select a command after which the stop will be interposed;
	To execute command Insert Stop (to Interpose a stop) the menu of a palette which displays dialog box Record Stop (to Write down a stop) (fig. П1.8).

In the field Message (Message) it is possible to enter the arbitrary text which will be deduced at a macro command stop. At setting of flag Allow Continue (to Resolve continuation), in a dialogue window-message button Continue is deduced to (Continue), as in an example on fig. П1.9.

Performance of macro commands

The sequence of actions of the macro command can be executed from any command and in any combination (though and in one последойательности). Besides, there is a possibility to execute only one separate command.

If needed any command can be eliminated from performance. For this purpose it is necessary to click in the most left column near to a command title;

"Tick" removal means a command exception (fig. П1.10). Repeated click returns to a command "исполняемость".

If the command assumes dialog box presence, they can be deduced for setting or change of parameters. If the dialog box output is disconnected, the program will Use current setting of a dialog box (and the window will not be deduced).

For determination of an output to the dialog box screen in macro command runtime it is necessary to click in a column near to a command name. If in this section the dialog box icon the dialog box will be deduced (fig. П1.11) is displayed. Repeated click disconnects a dialog box output.

Nota Bene. It is necessary to mean that in "a button mode" the macro command is fulfilled completely (from beginning to end), certainly, if it is debugged and operates.

Macro command application to the separate document

The sequence of actions for macro command application to the separate document can be following:

1. To open the necessary document.

2. To fulfill the macro command completely, it is necessary to select a macro command name and if it is necessary to begin macro command performance not with the beginning it is necessary to open and select a command with which it is necessary to begin performance.

3. To launch macro command performance, it is possible to use button Play Current Selection (Playback) in the lower part of a palette or command Play (Playback) of the menu of a palette.

Double click on a name the macro command in a palette opens dialog box Actions Options (operation Parameters) which is identical to dialog box New Action (New operation). If double click is produced ' at a pushed key <Ctrl> the macro command from beginning to end starts to be fulfilled.

Choice of object in the course of macro command performance

Command Select Object (to Select object) allows to select specific object in the course of macro command performance. However before all necessary-objects it is necessary to "call" palettes Attributes (Attributes) by means of fields Note (Comment). More detailed инф^ржаЦ ^ about this field is presented in chapter 15. It is necessary to pay attention only that for application in the macro command the object name should be unique.

To select object, it is necessary (recording) to execute in the course of macro command record command Select Object (to Select object) the palette menu. On the screen dialog box Set Selection (to Define the selected object) (fig. П1.12) in which it is necessary to enter unique (not repeating) object name is deduced.

Flag Case Sensitive (to Consider the register) provides the registration of the register of capital and line characters in an object title.

Flag Whole Word (the Whole word) eliminates possibility of coincidence of object name and a part of a name of other object.

Performance of a separate command as a part of the macro command

That from all sequence of commands as a part of the macro command it was possible to fulfill one, it is necessary to adhere to the following order:

1. To select a command which needs to be fulfilled.

2. To push a key <Ctrl>, and then button Play Current Selection (Playback) in the lower part of a palette or at the same pushed key to click on the selected command twice.

Speed of performance of the macro command

The difficult macro command frequently demands debugging, but in certain cases not so it is easy to define a place of failure in view of too fast performance of specific commands. If the debugging stage it is possible to use command Playback Options (Run mode) of the menu of a palette is required. On the screen the dialog box with the same name (fig. П1.13) in which by setting of switch Performance (Performance) it is possible to define speed of performance of the macro command is deduced.

	Accelerated (Fast) — it is accepted by default and provides normal speed which is quite comprehensible to correctly operating macroprogram.
	Step By Step (Step by step) — provides macro command performance on steps with plotting of the image after end of each separate command. Such mode demands from the user enough breathless attention to have time to fix incorrect actions.
	Pause For... seconds (With stops on... Seconds) — allows the user most to define a level of the attention and to enter delay period in seconds between performance of commands

Editing of macro commands

Record of macro commands can be added at the subsequent editing, for example, to change the order of commands, to change parameters of commands, to add new commands, to repeat available commands, to delete the commands which have become for various reasons unnecessary, etc.

Immediately using palette Actions (Operations), it is possible to transfer any macro command to other dial-up. For this purpose it is necessary to capture a line of the macro command and to drag it in a demanded dial-up.

In the same way the order of commands in the macro command changes.

For record of an additional command it is necessary to select a command after which the insertion Is necessary, and then, pushing button Begin Recording (Record) in the lower part of a palette, to execute the necessary command or sequence of commands. Click on button Stop Playing/Recording (a performance/record Stop) stops record.

The possibility of repetition of commands provided in palette Actions (Operation) and macro commands is very useful to editing of macro commands and creation on their basis of new macro commands.

For command or macro command repetition it is necessary to select one of following methods:

	At a pushed button <Alt> it is possible to capture and drag the necessary command or the macro command in new position in the palette list;
	To select a command or the macro command and to execute command Duplicate to (Repeat) the palette menu;
	To drag a name of a command or the macro command on button Create New Action (New operation) in the lower part of a palette.

For selection of several commands it is necessary to use a key <Alt> or <Ctrl>.

For change of parameters of a command it is enough to click twice on a line of a command and to cause an appropriate dialog box.

At any moment it is possible to delete any macro command entirely or any separate command entering into any macro command. For this purpose in the list of macro commands it is necessary to select necessary (more precisely, unnecessary) the macro command or a command and to push button Delete selection (Basket) in the lower part of a palette or to execute command Delete to (Delete) the palette menu.

Any of these actions opens a window-request on removal, and after some meditation it is possible to push the button APPRX. the Command or the macro command (Basket) is deleted without request click on button Delete selection at a pushed key <Alt>.

After longer meditation it is possible to dare at removals of all macro commands. For this purpose it is necessary to execute command Clear Actions (to Clear a palette) the menu of a palette and to confirm the decision;

If all operations created by the user, become excessive, it is possible to get rid of them by means of command Reset Actions (to Recover operations) the palette menu. Click on button Append to (Add) in the opened dialog box (fig. П1.14) adds in a palette a dial-up of the macro commands delivered together with the program.

Saving, loading and changeover of a dial-up of macro commands

As it is impossible to add infinitely new macro commands, in the program possibility of creation of dial-ups (sets) macro commands and their saving on a disk in a special file with atn extension is provided. It allows to organize more rationally operation over different projects or different types of images, and also to transfer to other users for support of identical handling of objects.

Dial-ups of macro commands can be saved only entirely, it is impossible to save separate macro commands or commands (if only they and do not make a dial-up).

Nota Bene. It is necessary to mean that normally new macro commands are automatically saved in file Default_Actlons. AIA (in Folder VAction Sets). At removal of this file (for the purpose of recovery of initial setting of the program) it will be remote also a dial-up of macro commands, therefore it is quite reasonable to save in advance macro commands in an independent file.

To create a new Dial-up of macro commands, it is necessary to execute command New Set (the New dial-up) the menu of a palette or to push button Create New Set (to Create a new dial-up), allocated in the lower part of palette Actions (Operation). In both cases on the screen the dialog box (fig. П1.15) in which it is required to enter a name of a dial-up is deduced or to accept offered by the program.

The name набрра can be changed at any moment, causing the same dialog box command Set Options (to Set parameters).

For saving of a dial-up of macro commands it is enough to select necessary a dial-up and to execute command Save Actions (to Save operations) the palette menu. On the screen dialog box Save will be deduced to (Save), in which it is possible to appropriate a name to a dial-up of macro commands (or to leave leaking) and to define a folder for storage.

For changeover of a current dial-up of macro commands on earlier saved execute command Replace Actions (to Replace operations) NffiW ' palettes.

For loading of a new dial-up of macro commands which will be added in the end of the list of current macro commands, it is necessary to execute command Load Actions (to Load operations) the palette menu. Dialog box Load as a result opens to (Load), from which it is possible to select a file with atn extension.

Batch operation of documents

Batch operation imply application of identical Conversions to variety of documents ("packet"). In this case it is enough to specify a folder with such documents, to launch macro command performance, and the program (under condition of correctness of the macro command) processes them in an automatic mode, i

To start batch operation of set of documents by means of one macro command it is necessary to execute command Batch (Batch operation) of the menu of a palette. On the screen dialog box Batch (Batch operation) from which it is possible to select an initial folder, the macro command and a target folder (fig. П1.16) is deduced.

In group Play to (Fulfil) two lists in which happens are allocated. A choice of a dial-up of macro commands (list Set (the Dial-up)) and the specific macro command (list Action (Operation)).

In group Source (Source) button Choose is presented to (Select), which allows to define a folder-source of the documents intended for batch operation. Superfluous documents in this folder should not be. Impossibility to create the document lists, intended for package> handlings, — essential restriction of rather useful function as it is necessary to get a special folder and to rewrite there-documents for batch operation.

Flag Override Action "Open" Commands (to Ignore commands "to Save in") should be installed, if it is necessary to prevent saving of the processed documents in the folders installed by default in dialog boxes of commands Save As (to Save as) and Save a Copy (to Save a copy).

Flag Include All Subdirectories (to Include all подкатологи) allows to process the documents allocated in nested folders.

Group Destination (Result) serves for determination of finite assignment of documents after handling, it is possible to select following variants from the uncovered list:

	Variant None (He to save) allows to leave files opened and not to save the made changes;
	Variant Save and Close (to Save and close) provides saving in a current folder;
	Variant Folder (Folder) allows to define other folder for saving of the processed documents. Button Choose is here too used to (Select) for a choice of the necessary folder.

At a choice of variant Folder (Folder) it is necessary to install flag Override Action "Save In" Commands (to Ignore commands "to Save in") which provides an exception of the folders installed by default in commands Save As (to Save as) and Save a Copy (to Save a copy), as places for storage of the processed documents.

At setting of flag Override Action "Export" Commands (to Ignore commands to "Export") which provides an exception of the folders installed by default at performance of command Export to (Export), there is accessible button Choose to (Select) for a choice of the arbitrary folder.

In the uncovered list of group Errors (Error) following variants are presented:

	Variant Stop For Errors (Break at origin of errors) provides termination of performance of batch operation;
	Variant Log Errors To File (to Write down in log) provides log guiding in which errors are fixed at batch operation performance. Button Save As allows to select a folder in which the log is saved, and to define a name of the file intended for guiding of log.
