Diagonal lines in cells Many users working with tables, prefer to draw diagonal lines for a designation of the empty cell or the corrected information. Program InDesign gives the chance to break cells on a diagonal. Adding of diagonal lines 1. Select cells which want to change. 2. Execute commands Table-> Cell Options-> Diagonal Lines (the Table-> the Cell format-> Diagonal lines). On the screen there will be dialog box Cell Options with open tab Diagonal Lines (fig. 13.52). Or Select options Cell Options-> Diagonal Lines (the Cell format-> Diagonal lines) from the palette menu. 3. Set text layout over a line or under it by means of switches Draw in Front (Foreground) and Draw in Back (Background). 4. Set a direction and an amount of lines, clicking on one of four buttons. 5.
