Trailing and nonseparable lines

One more convenient reception is the job of an amount of lines of the text which sharing at column or page rupture is undesirable. It can be made with usage of controlling elements Keep Options (to Retain a line).

Adjustment of parameters of holding of lines in the paragraph

1. Select option Keep Options from the menu of palette Paragraph. On the screen there will be dialog box Keep Options (fig. 14.38).

2. Enter value in the field Keep With Next... Lines (to Retain... Lines of the following paragraph) to set transfer of the last line of the paragraph to the following column or on the following page together with the specified amount of lines of the next paragraph.

By means of the given option it is possible to prevent rupture of subtitles or titles from the text following them.

3. Install flag Keep Lines Together (to Retain together) and select one of following positions (fig. 14.39):

- All Lines in Paragraph (all the line long the paragraph) - not to break off the paragraph;

- At Start/End of Paragraph (In the beginning / a paragraph break) - an amount of not divided lines in the beginning or a paragraph break.

4. In menu Start Paragraph (to Begin the paragraph) specify a place of the beginning of the new paragraph (fig. 14.51):

- Anywhere (In any place) - paragraph rupture in any place;

- In Next Column (In a new column) - the paragraph beginning in the following column or on the following page;

- In Next Frame (In the new frame) - the paragraph beginning in the following frame or on the following page;

- On Next Page (On new page) - passage of the text to the following page;

- On Next Odd Page (On new odd page) - passage of the text to the following odd page;

- On Next Even Page (On the new even page) - passage of the text to the following even page.
