Usage of fonts of OrenTure

The most advanced fonts are new fonts of OrepTure. Instead of 256 characters in fonts Round 1 or TrueType fonts of OrepTure can consist of thousand dialup signs. Program InDesign contains special commands for operation with such fonts. For example, you can set automatic changeover of normal characters by special characters of OrepTure.

Setting of additional OpenType characters

1. Select the text typed by font OpenType.

2. Execute commands Round-> Character (the Text-> the Font) to open palette Character.

3. Select necessary adjustments from submenu OpenType the menu of palette Character (fig. 15.18). Program InDesign automatically replaces characters with additional dialup signs in each category.

Some fonts OpenType allow to change one dialup sign to another, depending on its position in the text (fig. 15.19).

You can select manually additional dialup signs for each character of a font.

Choice of additional dialup signs

1. Select the character from the text.

2. Execute commands Round-> Insert Glyphs (the Text-> to Interpose dialup signs) to open palette Glyphs (Dialup signs).

3. Click on a small triangle near to the selected character in a palette (fig. 15.20). There will be additional dialup signs.

4. Select one of them. The selected character in the text will be replaced допол нительным by the character in palette Glyphs

It is possible to control palette Glyphs so to see only defined кате гории dialup signs.

Adjustment of display of separate character groups in palette Glyphs

1. Open list Show to (Show) in palette Glyphs.

2. Select character group of OrepTure which want to display (fig. 15.21).
