Document printing

To print the document, the printer should receive set of various commands. Your task - truly to select these commands.

Probably, you got used to adjust certain parameters in a dialog box of Rage Setup (page Parameters) (Маc) or Printer Properties (Properties) (Win). Experts of the company of adobe do not recommend to use them in program InDesign; it is better to use adjustments of dialog box Print.

Output of the document to the press

  1. Execute commands File-> Print (the File-> the Press). On the screen there will be dialog box Print (document Printing) - fig. 17.1.
  2. If needed select one of following categories from the left part of a dialog box (fig. 17.2):
    • General (Document) - adjustment of key parameters of the press (the section «Adjustment of key parameters of the press» see);
    • Setup (Paper) - adjustment of parameters of a paper (the section «paper Parameters» see);
    • Marks and Bleeds (Labels and a sawn-off shotgun) - determination of control labels of the press and print area (the section «the Job of labels and sawn-off shotgun area» see);
    • Output (Colour) — adjustment of colors and a color separation;
    • Graphics (Variants) - adjustment of the press of images;
    • Color Management (Color management) - control of handling of colors (before adjusting control items color, contact service bureau);
    • Advanced (In addition) - the job of options of substitution of images and adjustment of the press of effects of a transparency (the section «Adjustment of additional parameters» see);
    • Summary (Report) - display of a report of all adjustments of the press (the section «Creation of a report of the press» see).

    3. At each printing it is not necessary to adjust parameters. An exception is necessity of change of certain parameter.

  3. Click by button Print to (Print) to print the document according to the produced adjustments
