Document creation Before appearance of desktop publishing systems type-setters prepared documents for printing on mounting desktop, labeling edges of pages on the big sheets special pencils, and also specifying the locations of fields and columns and a method of cropping of pages. Such sheets named the dummy layout, it was used as a publication breadboard model. Publications of program InDesign represent electronic breadboard models. As well as in a case with a paper variant of the dummy layout, it is necessary for you to set the sizes of pages, fields and width of columns. At your instruction there are expanded means of imposition of the publication. Invaluable advantage is the knowledge of details of configuration of the publication even prior to the beginning of operation. For example, fulfilling the project half, you can find out that fields too big and the text does not find room in the space led out for it. Certainly, it is possible to change width of fields later, however to know about the exact sizes of fields before performance большей operation parts is better. Undoubtedly, editing of an electronic breadboard model occupies much less time, than change of the ready dummy layout. At creation of the new document it is necessary to answer set of questions in dialog box Document Setup (document Parameters). Creation of the new document
