Tool Erase usage

For certain you will need to delete a circuit part. Instead of selecting and deleting separate points, can use tool Erase.

If you already worked with tool Erase in Adobe Illustrator program at usage of the similar tool in program InDesign there should be no problems.

Removal of a circuit by means of tool Erase

1. Select a circuit which part want to delete.
2. Select tool Erase (Ластик) on a toolbar (fig. 7.18).
3. Click on tool Erase and drag it along a circuit.
4. Release the mouse button to see result.

Tool Erase always breaks off a closed circuit

Applying the tool to the middle of an open circuit, you create two separate opened circuits They will be selected.

Removal of points

For certain you are confused by a variety of tools and the commands intended for removal of points and segments. I will enumerate the functions executable by each tool:

• Add and Delete Anchor Point (to Add and delete anchor point) - adding or removal of anchor points without circuit rupture;
• Erase (Ластик) - circuit rupture;
• Scissors (Scissors) - creation in a specific place of two extreme points;
• Delete - removal of points or the segments selected by tool Direct Selection. If to apply a command to segments at circuit center, it will be divided on two parts.
